Payment
I use the payment processor ‘Stripe’. It is secure and used by some of the world’s biggest online retailers. It doesn’t cost you, the buyer, anything.
Delivery & tax
Customer pick up: I store my work locally in St Leonards on Sea, East Sussex, UK. If you would like to pick up your purchase please contact me via the details in the ‘Contact’ button on the website to arrange a day and time to do so.
Delivery: Delivery is not included in the price. The packaging and delivery cost is calculated automatically during the check out process and is dependent on the delivery address location.
I will use an insured, ‘signed-for on delivery’ service from a reputable delivery company based on your location, the dimensions and weight of the piece you are buying.
Once your purchase is on the way I will email you the delivery company name, consignment number and approximate date of delivery.
Generally, delivery to a UK address should be within 5 working days of you buying and to anywhere else in the world, within 10 working days. The delivery timeframe quoted is an estimate and I can’t be responsible for deliveries which do not adhere to this approximate timeframe. I also can’t be responsible for the outcome (financial or any other outcome) if you are not available to sign for receipt of the work as per the delivery company’s instructions.
For deliveries to UK addresses, any applicable taxes are detailed as part of the purchase price. For deliveries anywhere else in the world, you as the buyer are responsible for all taxes (whether local or national) that become payable due to your importation of the work.
Insurance
If you pick up your purchase, it is uninsured from the point you have it in your hands and leave my premises.
If delivered, the piece will be insured during the delivery period, as part of the delivery service. This means it will be covered to the value of its website price, until you have signed to receive it. In the unlikely event it were to go missing and remain lost in transit, I would reimburse you its cost, as well as cost of delivery if applicable.
From the point you have signed to receive it, you are the owner and the work is not insured by me in any way. Any further insurance will be at your discretion.
Damage
It is yet to happen, but in the unlikely event that your purchase arrives damaged, please immediately take photographs and contact me via the details in the ‘Contact’ button on the website. Depending on the damage and your location I will either offer to come to you and fix it or arrange for the work to be picked up and returned to me, at my cost. If the latter, I would ask that prior to pick up you repackage it using at least the materials it arrives in, as I would not be responsible for any damage more than that identified and documented by you at the point you receive it - if further damage occurred during its return to me due to your packaging of the piece, I would almost certainly be unable to reimburse you for the full cost of your purchase.
At this point in the process (assuming no further damage occurred during its transit back to me), if you no longer wished to buy the piece I would reimburse you its cost as well as cost of delivery if applicable, or if you still wanted to make the purchase I would arrange the fixing and redelivering of the work.
Returns
Unless the work is damaged at the point of your receipt of it, I do not offer a Returns service via sales through my website. This means you cannot ‘try before you buy’.
If however you have purchased the work through a gallery, please refer to their own returns policy, which they will have discussed with you at the point of purchase.
